Glass half …

As I am familiar with my house I really don’t need to turn all the lights on. This in mind I walked into the bathroom to fill a glass with water, it’s just a small glass. So, there I am in the dark filling up this glass cleverly using a finger as a guide to when it’s near the top, I like to use my brain me!

Got back to my room to discover the glass was only half full. Thinking back, I had my damn finger under the tap!

Anyway, I thought that might be amusing.

Ticking all the boxes

When it comes to dating and dating sites I have often believed, well, indeed, always believed that once I find someone who ticks all the boxes it is time to stop looking! So, why is it that the one who fits my requirements perfectly has to live the other side of the planet? Somehow I now need to give this a chance because, otherwise, I’ll always wonder, what if? Buggered if I know how right now though.

Sleeping

Hmm, I am not sleeping so well. Medication makes me sleepy but, now I have this cough keeping me awake which makes me really tired most days. I am also physically irritable, not mentally but my body aches a lot more at the moment which I am putting down to tiredness … grrr

Plans

Well, I got none so, that’s that really. I have a list of things I’d really like to do but nothing I can set in stone just yet. I have a huge debt to clear yet one way or another. I can’t make plans until that’s cleared up. High up on my list of things to do would be travel, of course, as that’s my passion. Philippines if I can to see Randy, possibly New York, maybe Gran Canaria, maybe none of them annoyingly.

Budget Day

So, we have the ‘Let’s buy a whole host of gullible voters day’ with George Osborne. No doubt we’ll be told how employment is rising, how the deficit is falling, how we’re all so much better off now than we were (compared to what?). We’ll be told that there are still tough times ahead but that only a Conservative government can steer us through them. It will be pointed out how inflation remains low, how not raising duty on fuel has helped everyone as is seen by the current lower prices at the pumps (it’s going up again George). In short, I should listen to this budget later and decide to vote Conservative in May but, I won’t. Labour certainly did nothing to avoid the mess the country got in but they didn’t cause it. They made the mistake of trying to be too conservative, allowing high finance the freedom to cause a catastrophic cock up for which they took zero responsibility. They made the mistake of allowing Gordon Brown to take the job of Prime Minister, one for which he is totally...

Oh dear

The good news is that it could possibly be Jermaine will be moved into his lovely new flat within 6 weeks. Matt is another story. His apology earlier was rather pathetic. He's still not really said sorry to either Daisy or Deej and, indeed, seems to think saying sorry to anyone is more important than being with his mates. He has a set of rules now, in writing and he's been told that if he deviates from it just once he best have somewhere else to live. We shall see. I don't hold out much hope but there is still a little inside of me, I need to believe there is good in him ... for now. Car - still not sold Looked at Nick's new place the other day. It's small but not so much as I feared it may be and could be made to look real nice with a little effort and thought. I know how I'd do it but it's up to Nick how he does it and I am looking forward to seeing the end result. Loads of work still to do at Robin's of course but at least he is up and running again o...

Totally Bonkers

That's me ... but in a good way Yesterday evening Daisy got a plea from help from a 16 year old friend. She couldn't deal with it. Basically and without too many details ... he has had a troubled home life and his health has also not been too good. Indeed, he only came out of hospital after surgery for a ruptured appendix on Wednesday. Last evening (Thurs) his mother thought it'd be a good idea to kick him out and he really didn't have anywhere to go. I spoke with him for some time and it certainly appeared his need was quite high. So, I decided to do the right thing and he's now asleep in bed upstairs. I am totally bonkers because he wasn't living in Northampton but in Folkestone! He moved there with his family a month or so ago from Northampton. He's obviously in a lot of pain emotionally and physically. Of course, after having just driven around 300 miles, I am knackered. I reckon I did the right thing ... his mother is aware he is in Northampton, she see...
