Born in Essex in the 60's I married in the 80's when it was still the expected thing to do and when being gay might have been popular for entertainers but not for the ordinary man.

Eventually it became obvious I was never going to become heterosexual by living it straight so, in 2000 I set down a new path though, even then, not the obvious one.

All 4 children remained with me as their primary carer.

I got civil partnered in 2009, divorced in 2012

Now very happily married to my husband since March 2017 and loving life just the two of us .... and the kids and the grandkids :-)

Now living in Northampton, UK.

Budget Day

So, we have the ‘Let’s buy a whole host of gullible voters day’ with George Osborne. No doubt we’ll be told how employment is rising, how the deficit is falling, how we’re all so much better off now than we were (compared to what?). We’ll be told that there are still tough times ahead but that only a Conservative government can steer us through them. It will be pointed out how inflation remains low, how not raising duty on fuel has helped everyone as is seen by the current lower prices at the pumps (it’s going up again George). In short, I should listen to this budget later and decide to vote Conservative in May but, I won’t. Labour certainly did nothing to avoid the mess the country got in but they didn’t cause it. They made the mistake of trying to be too conservative, allowing high finance the freedom to cause a catastrophic cock up for which they took zero responsibility. Hmm, life has this way of bringing about changes

Past couple of weeks we have had Adam take over as Zoey’s PA and an excellent job he is making of it, better already than anyone else before him but then, I knew he would be and he was, after all, my first choice when I was first able to get a PA for her, he just wasn’t available! Nearly a week ago now our Danny turned up rather early! He’s doing fine though and a healthy 8lbs 7oz. I am not sure just which way round it is but suspect that each time I look at Sean I see Danny! Daisy is boob feeding and managing really well though, somehow I can’t help but wonder how the hell she’s managing to stay awake? I am a very lucky guy to now have 4 wonderful grandchildren and so need a picture of them all together, one day, when they are all that much older, I’d love to do a trip with  them all to Disney, it’ll be totally magical to see their faces light up! Perhaps I need to buy more lottery tickets? Maybe I should stop buying lottery tickets? Adam has been add...
