1st Week of Feb, time for an update

I finally got to see my GP, what fun and games that was!

I made an appointment for my own GP to call me. Our surgery is weird because we do this using an automated system between midnight and 7am. She called me in the morning, concluded I needed to see someone and made an appointment, a double, for a locum as they are several doctors short of a surgery.

The locum kept me waiting for half hour and then within the time of a single appointment she dismissed me suggesting I come back in two weeks if I didn’t feel better. I’d explained my background, how I don’t go for little things and that this has been as it is for many months but she just sent me away.

So, I got a meeting with the practise manager and explained it all to her. She arranged for me to come back for the drop-in session 2 hours later where I had to ask for the deputy manager to ensure I got seen by my GP. Saw dep manager at 3pm and she asked me to wait. I was about to call downstairs to ask if I’d been forgotten when a text came through telling my appointment was at 3:35! Eventually saw my own GP at around 3:45.

Now I am on Citalopram and she’s booked me in for counselling. I have had my medication changed for my allergies too, let’s see if that makes a difference.

On another note …

TOO MANY GAY MEN THINK WITH THEIR DICKS!

Yes, I really am fed up with so many gay men thinking sex comes before everything else. Sure, I have the age old problem of so many gay men dismissing me when they find out about what they perceive to be my ‘baggage’ but which I call my ‘family’, well, who needs that sort?! Anyone who does show an interest seems to want to have sex first and see how it goes so …

I plan to remain single. I know where I stand with me, no more messing about. I could have none of the men I’ve wanted for one reason or another so, perhaps I am only attracted to men I can’t have so why bother looking?

On another note …

Still waiting for the council to sort out the benefits mess, grrr, taking too long and costing me so much!

On another note still …

Dad moved into his flat last Saturday, he seems to be doing OK.

Budget Day

So, we have the ‘Let’s buy a whole host of gullible voters day’ with George Osborne. No doubt we’ll be told how employment is rising, how the deficit is falling, how we’re all so much better off now than we were (compared to what?). We’ll be told that there are still tough times ahead but that only a Conservative government can steer us through them. It will be pointed out how inflation remains low, how not raising duty on fuel has helped everyone as is seen by the current lower prices at the pumps (it’s going up again George). In short, I should listen to this budget later and decide to vote Conservative in May but, I won’t. Labour certainly did nothing to avoid the mess the country got in but they didn’t cause it. They made the mistake of trying to be too conservative, allowing high finance the freedom to cause a catastrophic cock up for which they took zero responsibility. They made the mistake of allowing Gordon Brown to take the job of Prime Minister, one for which he is totally...

Oh dear

The good news is that it could possibly be Jermaine will be moved into his lovely new flat within 6 weeks. Matt is another story. His apology earlier was rather pathetic. He's still not really said sorry to either Daisy or Deej and, indeed, seems to think saying sorry to anyone is more important than being with his mates. He has a set of rules now, in writing and he's been told that if he deviates from it just once he best have somewhere else to live. We shall see. I don't hold out much hope but there is still a little inside of me, I need to believe there is good in him ... for now. Car - still not sold Looked at Nick's new place the other day. It's small but not so much as I feared it may be and could be made to look real nice with a little effort and thought. I know how I'd do it but it's up to Nick how he does it and I am looking forward to seeing the end result. Loads of work still to do at Robin's of course but at least he is up and running again o...

Totally Bonkers

That's me ... but in a good way Yesterday evening Daisy got a plea from help from a 16 year old friend. She couldn't deal with it. Basically and without too many details ... he has had a troubled home life and his health has also not been too good. Indeed, he only came out of hospital after surgery for a ruptured appendix on Wednesday. Last evening (Thurs) his mother thought it'd be a good idea to kick him out and he really didn't have anywhere to go. I spoke with him for some time and it certainly appeared his need was quite high. So, I decided to do the right thing and he's now asleep in bed upstairs. I am totally bonkers because he wasn't living in Northampton but in Folkestone! He moved there with his family a month or so ago from Northampton. He's obviously in a lot of pain emotionally and physically. Of course, after having just driven around 300 miles, I am knackered. I reckon I did the right thing ... his mother is aware he is in Northampton, she see...
