Techie Stuff

Am in the process of cloning Zoey’s hard drive on to a new super fast SSD drive, that’s step one of the kick up the arse improvement program. Next step is to physically replace the HDD with the SSD keeping the SSD as a back-up. Then the new RAM is inserted followed by the new Graphics Card … once that’s all done she should have a lovely fast machine!

After That ….

Hopefully my new PC will arrive. I might get away with simply moving my SSD into the new machine and the extra HHD’s into it too. I might go for a clean install though which will obviously take a lot longer!

And then … (special customer)

My old system goes to Sean who does what the hell he wants, his machine probably goes to Daisy so they both have a PC in their lounge meaning no more complaints from Daisy her laptop is too slow!

And finally?

I think that’s it …. except … went to the wellbeing clinic earlier, I’ve been given some homework and advice. I need to say ‘no’ a lot more a mean it and I need to make it perfectly clear to those who are treating me unacceptably that I’ll back off from them unless they treat me as I deserve, both those are going to be a challenge!

So, we have the ‘Let’s buy a whole host of gullible voters day’ with George Osborne. No doubt we’ll be told how employment is rising, how the deficit is falling, how we’re all so much better off now than we were (compared to what?). We’ll be told that there are still tough times ahead but that only a Conservative government can steer us through them. Oh dear

The good news is that it could possibly be Jermaine will be moved into his lovely new flat within 6 weeks. Matt is another story. His apology earlier was rather pathetic. He's still not really said sorry to either Daisy or Deej and, indeed, seems to think saying sorry to anyone is more important than being with his mates. He has a set of rules now, in writing and he's been told that if he deviates from it just once he best have somewhere else to live. We shall see. I don't hold out much hope but there is still a little inside of me, I need to believe there is good in him ... for now. Car - still not sold Looked at Nick's new place the other day. It's small but not so much as I feared it may be and could be made to look real nice with a little effort and thought. I know how I'd do it but it's up to Nick how he does it and I am looking forward to seeing the end result. Loads of work still to do at Robin's of course but at least he is up and running again o...

Hmm, life has this way of bringing about changes

Past couple of weeks we have had Adam take over as Zoey’s PA and an excellent job he is making of it, better already than anyone else before him but then, I knew he would be and he was, after all, my first choice when I was first able to get a PA for her, he just wasn’t available! Nearly a week ago now our Danny turned up rather early! He’s doing fine though and a healthy 8lbs 7oz. I am not sure just which way round it is but suspect that each time I look at Sean I see Danny! Daisy is boob feeding and managing really well though, somehow I can’t help but wonder how the hell she’s managing to stay awake? I am a very lucky guy to now have 4 wonderful grandchildren and so need a picture of them all together, one day, when they are all that much older, I’d love to do a trip with  them all to Disney, it’ll be totally magical to see their faces light up! Perhaps I need to buy more lottery tickets? Maybe I should stop buying lottery tickets? Adam has been add...
