Selfish Morons

moron

a very stupid person:
Some moron smashed into the back of my car yesterday.

What you see here is people over in Asia being sensible, that is, not being morons.

It's not hard to do, it is not rocket science, not in any way.

Listen to Tom telling it like it is. Remember, this Hollywood A list actor knows what the virus is like, he got it way back in the early days.

Masks are not a new thing you know. This is wartime, back in the 1940's where there was no actual gas anywhere to kill anyone, just a risk that there may be and all generations and genders wore a mask because, they were not morons. Actually, I should think a lot of morons wore them too because they understood that just because they couldn't see something it doesn't mean they should not take precautions.

I have no idea who this lady is, she could be anyone's mum, anyone's gran or, it could be yours. The thing I do know is that this ...

Not only doesn't know who this is, it doesn't care, it has nothing to care with, it has no eyes, no brain, it exists to replicate itself just that one very simple purpose.

This is you, a typical moron ...

Liverpool Football fans making merry because their team did something a bit special.

What happens if just one of those people has Covid-19?

They pass the virus on to one of their mates. That mate, in turn, passes it on to one of their mates. That mate goes to the store the next day, isn't worried about social distancing because they are young and young people, even if they get it, don't much get sick.

On the way back from the store they walk through the park, they laugh with their friends just as they're walking past the lady on the bench. This lady is the grandmother of the guy wearing the sunglasses, he's OK, he's not got the virus. But gran, she gets poorly really quick, she is rushed to hospital but, it's too late, she passes away, one more Coronavirus victim.

It's no ones fault, I mean, no way has the lad in the glasses got anything to do with the death of his gran, he was out with his mates supporting his team, they're all cool, they're all young and he knows he never had the virus but, he, like his mates, is a MORON!

Morons come in all shapes and sizes, here is another moron

Yes, President Trump visits a mask factory but refuses to wear a mask because he says he doesn't want to look weak.

Let's have a look at social distancing, some from the UK and others worldwide, judge for yourself whether this is something you can manage or whether you are a moron and think (somehow) that  this

Coronavirus

has gone away and was never anything to do with you anyway.

The people above do not look like morons, they value their lives and they value the lives of others, they know that if they share the virus they are potential putting at risk people they care about

Or

Is this more you?

Well, is it?

I am not saying these people are deliberately going out their way to harm themselves or anyone else. Most will have imagined deserted beaches and travelled a long way to get there so decided to 'take the risk' when they got there. A bad decision moment maybe, but a bad decision which may have added to the virus death tally. The Trump supporters going to a rally because their leader says, don't wear masks, masks aren't cool so, they're trusting their leader, they don't know he's a moron. People queuing for groceries in the early days of the virus, they didn't know better.

It comes down to, who or what do you trust?

Only one is capable of telling anyone lies, the other acts on instinct.

You can choose to follow the UK government but remember these two absolute facts

There is no vaccine
There is no cure

Surviving or dyeing is down to luck

Other little accepted facts:

Over 4000 people died in the UK who have no other illness except the virus
Up to a third of all deaths in the UK at the moment are as a result of Covid-19
In your likely age group, 15-44, of those who test positive, some 21% will die.

You think that because all these places are opening up again it's safe right?

You are wrong, you are being moronic.

They are opening up again to protect the economy. There is only so much the government can borrow to protect the country and they have sort of got to that limit so now it is back to the way they originally wanted to do it.

Herd Immunity ... let me explain that for you.

‘Herd immunity’ refers to the state whereby enough members of a population have acquired immunity to a disease so that it cannot spread within that group – suggested to be between 60-80% for COVID-19 or about 40-50 million people in the UK.

On March 5th the Prime Minister stated on National TV that this was the probably best way to deal with the pandemic. Here is a clip of a man very familiar to all of us explaining the thinking on March 13th Sir Patrick Vallance

With so much opening up again the government must know that infection rates are going to go up again.

You may be interested to know (unless you're a moron) that infections/deaths are the same as they were before the government announced a full lockdown of the country.

What has changed? The virus is still here, it has gone nowhere. Nearly 45,000 people have so far died

The country was locked down and thus we protected ourselves from infection (except for the morons). This helped lower the overall infection and death rates.

As nothing has changed with the virus, consider that we are where we were on March 18th this year.

It is inevitable that unless everyone, including the morons, work together, we are likely to go into a second peak. The government has already said that were that to happen, they will NOT put the country into lockdown.

Did you think the 25th March lockdown was to protect the country? No, it was to save the government the huge embarrassment of the NHS failing. The PM said many times at the press conference that they were wanting to delay the virus until the summer when the NHS was in a better position to cope and, right now, they're in that better position.

The government have spent their billions of £'s which will need to be repaid somehow and here we are, at the point of objective, now it is time for herd immunity. With that they accept that a 6 figure death rate will likely happen and it'll happen because you trust the government more than you trust the virus. Remember, the virus doesn't know people exist, it's nothing personal, young, old, fit, disabled, any race, gender, sexuality, it doesn't care. If the virus had a way of choosing it would choose absolute equality of victims. The virus has no way of caring who lives or dies, it doesn't have anything in its DNA which tells it to do anything but survive. The virus is simple, it's uncomplicated, it cannot lie.

The government is very complicated, they can lie.

Does the government have anything to gain by a significant proportion of the population being dead?

Of course it does! The drain on the exchequer of Pensions is huge, they'd love an easy fix which wasn't their fault, it was an act of God. The more sick and elderly people who die or are very often a financial drain on the country, the more this solves a huge budget deficit the government has without the government doing anything.

UK deaths is a win win for the government.

What is plain and very clear is, we are now entirely reliant on the morons to stop being morons. Stop thinking about themselves but start seeing themselves as the bigger part of the problem and a bigger part of the solution.

Luck will only carry even the moron so far

You Bloody Idiot

I had a really enjoyable time in Meltham with Stan and Pete, even that walk against the wind up the pub on Saturday evening in a blizzard was fun. On the way there I thought it’d be fun to take some pictures of the car in the snow. I had not realised just how windy it was, I seriously thought my door was stuck when I tried to open it but it was just being pressurised by the forces outside. I am lucky really the wind had not been behind me else the door would have been ripped off. On the way back on Sunday I paid a visit to Sue in Sheffield. I like Sue and she is a great conversationalist. The journey was not without incident as the satnav kept failing and crashing and just became useless. I eventually tracked the problem down to the loudspeaker connection for the mount and once I’d removed that it was stable and guided me well to Sue’s door. I am really happy to report that the steroid injection I had last week as helped ease my pain. I still have the pain but it is not restricting me ...

2 Weeks in

Amazing as it seems I am two weeks through my visit here. Some might be getting a little confused about why I am here. There is only one important reason and that is to be with Dennis. This isn’t a vacation to me, it’s just about having to travel to the Philippines because it is where Dennis happens to be. I’m still in very regular contact with home dealing with daily issues, the council, social services and so on. I am geographically away from it but technically still connected. Obviously it’s cool to wander into Manila and see the place, travel in a Jeepney and so on. Wandering around the malls is fun but it is who I am with rather than where I am that matters most to me. Highlights for me, apart from every second I spend with Dennis have to be meeting family and friends.         Veronica and her family and Imee of course who has kept me entertained for hours with conversation about anything and everything     Ireneo too tries real hard wit...

Not a good day

Today is a very emotional one for me. I have no idea why that would be the case but apparently it is. For a day that had nothing pre-arranged this one has turned out quite busy. First, I agreed to take Matt for breakfast though I wasn't really hungry. He was being quite argumentative in the morning about some thing or other, I don't recall what exactly but some matter of politics where he was going to argue the toss whilst knowing little or nothing about it. But, even so, I was quite upbeat as Jermaine had gone to school on time ... no, scrub that, i was upbeat until I yet again had to tell Zoey to get her arse out of her room, downstairs, do her chores and get to school, that is when this day started to go downward. I spent way too much money on a new doorbell, true, we needed one but not one that cost nearly £50! This too has not helped. I went to see a garage that can fit parking sensors to my car, all well and good but they needed me to supply paint to match the circles up ...
